Inspiring the Future is an exciting programme that's coming to schools across Aotearoa in just a few weeks.

Based on research from Aotearoa and overseas, Inspiring the Future has been created to broaden young people’s horizons, help challenge stereotypes and address unconscious biases that can limit their potential.

At an Inspiring the Future event, young people hear from volunteers from their own communities, learn about different jobs and why people love doing them, as well as how those people got started in their careers. Find out more at https://www.inspiringthefuture.org.nz/.

In this webinar Tim Fowler, Chief Executive of Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), the organisation behind Inspiring the Future, will present:

  • Why Inspiring the Future - Drawing the Future research
  • What Inspiring the Future events involve
  • Resources for role models and schools
  • A demonstration of the online platform that connects schools with role models
  • How to get involved

We need people from all walks of life to sign-up to be an Inspiring the Future role model - anyone, in any job can inspire a young person!
